We had an absolutely fantastic breakfast rooms were nice clean check and staff were very kind weight staff in the dining room much to be needed. They did not seem to care if we were there or not took over 20 minutes to get our breakfast order however it was worth every minute of the wait.
Great place to stay of you're in the North Sydney area. The rooms are fairly clean, slightly outdated decor. The heating/cooling unit was loud, but tolerable. I went to the onsite restaurant for breakfast only to find out they don't serve breakfast in the winter. We went to The Clansman for breakfast and they were busy. I believe this is a missed opportunity to not have breakfast during the winter.
I only have good things to say about this place. Restaurant had amazing food, Clubhouse Sandwiches are delicious! Loved the atmosphere and the service. Beds and the room were cozy and welcoming. We all slept great. Whole family was very happy with our choice to stay/eat here. Overall I give this place a 10/10
We had a great experience from start to finish. The food was delicious, the staff were welcoming and friendly, and they were especially accommodating when our ferry was delayed. Truly appreciated the flexibility and kindness—highly recommend!
The food was made with TLC like home. I had steak and eggs for breakfast and don't regret it! Cooked exactly the way I ordered it, oh best home fries I ever tasted. The servers are always making you feel right at home. You need to go to this place!
Immaculately clean, comfortable bed, more than enough coffee and tea supplies, convenient mini fridge and one of the nicest hotel bathrooms, complete with a luxurious soaker tub which I enjoyed. Lovely place to stay and I can highly recommend

Ok. Soooo the bad part. Rooms are a bit dated but clean. Now the good parts!!!.....the rooms are clean and comfortable!!! The staff are very accommodating! I have enjoyed two week long stays in 2025. Mary, Carman and Don on the front desk are fantastic people to deal with. Carm in the morning, Mary and Don in the afternoon. But MARY is the bomb!! She works afternoons most time. Friendly, chat, chat, chat! I loves me some Mary! The cleaning staff are great. I can't remember the ladies names, but they are all great. One cleaner even lent me her vacuum one morning. I ate popcorn in bed n left a bunch on my side. I couldn't let her see or clean that! Restaurant is the best place to eat in North Sydney. Portion size, taste and value for your hard earned dollar from there folks. The wait staff ladies are FANTASTIC!!! Attentive, friendly, proficient, old school customer service from ladies so young. They treat me well EVERYTIME I sit down to eat!!! Overall, Hotel North is a great experience!!! Stay for a night or a week. I just can't say enough good about the staff members and lodging. You will love it there! All honestly and respectfully shared, Dan Ontario
